Who is Christolides?
Eclectic Creativity + Vision
Nicholas Christolides is the European + American Director of CHRISTOLIDES. He is at once, a Multi-Disciplinary Designer (graphic, product, lighting, furniture, interior design, architecture), Artist (several new forms of abstract and modern art), Inventor (products, new website concepts, future homes), Writer (4 books of original fictional stories, 1 book of poetry and a groundbreaking novel), University Lecturer (creative and critical thinking) and World Traveler - with over 30 years’ international experience in the UK, USA, Japan, Saudi Arabia, SE Asia and Cyprus. He has won a Royal Society of Arts Award for Lighting Concepts (UK), a Capital Radio (London) Award for Futuristic Ideas, received a Citation for Furniture Design from Progressive Architecture magazine (USA), was shortlisted for the Princess Diana Memorial Park Competition (UK) and won the Monozukuri Product Design Competition (SE Asia).
He has held major design positions such as Design Detailer for the prestigious John Paul Getty Residence in San Francisco, Chief Designer for Tansei Urban Design Complex in Tokyo, where he provided exciting retail concepts for Yamaha and the Mio Department Store, Head Furniture Designer for an exclusive house in Riyadh and he was Chief Concept Designer for the Dixons Retail Group where he provided a broad range of ideas for all the shop brands including Currys at Croydon - the biggest electronics retailer in Europe at the time. He was also a Creative Design Lecturer at the Academy Of Art in San Francisco, where he taught MA students in the Product, Advertising and Interior Design departments.
From 1988 to 1994 he managed his own Furniture, Lighting and Interior Design Consultancy in San Francisco. Projects of interest included the Interior and Furniture Design of the exclusive Ho Residence in Hillsborough, and the Furniture and Exhibit Design of the San Jose Technology Museum.

For the past 20 years Eric has travelled and lived around the world, including Europe, America and Japan. He has gained valuable global insights. He has worked as a Designer and English teacher but has spent much of his free time writing 6 original books. In writing Eric has developed his unique conceptual mind on several exciting new fronts. He has decided to return to Europe to offer his broad range of services as a Creative + Conceptual Consultant.
